I have rented space with A-1 @ 11800 Vanowen in N. Hollywood CA. for years, It is a clean, safe place to store my goods and has many extra services: electronic green recycling, UPS/Fed Ex deliveries, excellent hours of access, faxing and on the human comfort side--coffee and cold water when your moving boxes in 100 degree heat, or raining like crazy. Highly recommended for security, clean environment, ease of access, good location, excellent prices, and of course the great on-site staff who are friendly, informed, courteous and professional. I've been with A1 Storage now for about 2 years and previously had my stuff in a mom and pop storage facility for around 7 years. The difference is night and day in my opinion. The reason I switched over to A1 storage from a mom and pop type of storage facility was because of the huge quality difference. Most units are inside units and are temperature controlled and very clean. I was a bit worried about going into a 2nd or 3rd floor because of added difficulty of having to use the elevator. However, their elevators are huge and I've never had any problems with things being too big to fit in the elevator. They also always have moving carts available which I'm always using when taking things in and out of my storage unit.
I also really liked that they provide their customers with access every day from 6:00 am-10:00 pm which was not the case with the mom and pop storage facility I had been using. I additionally liked that their place is very secure with cameras and security built into every unit and monI additionally liked that their place is very secure with cameras and security built into every unit and monitored during business hours.
Another thing I have noticed is that I have NEVER found any bugs or spiders in my storage unit or inside any of my boxes etc... I've used storage facilities a lot in my life and this is a first. Quite impressed with their cleanliness.
From day 1, the staff has been very helpful and very friendly and a pleasure to do business with.
I highly recommend A-1 Self storage, especially the one I'm using in North Hollywood on Vanowen St. Not to mention, they give a great internet move-in special with your first month being free.

Customer service is difficult to find in this day and age. Fortunately, I discovered it with A-1 Storage Vanowen, about a year ago. There has been no staff turnover to my knowledge, which speaks volumes. Valentin and Yabone know me by name and have consistently worked with me to meet my needs in the most economical and professional way. The location is easy to get in and out of, extremely clean and well-kept. I have no reservations related to safety. The site has staff on-site most hours of the day to answer any questions or assist in any way. I am an appreciative, and pleased, customer. Thanks guys!

I have dealt with several storage locations, and I can say without hesitation that the customer service at A-1 Self Storage on Vanowen is the best. Yabone the site manager is friendly and attentive, as well as the rest of the staff. The facility is clean and well lit and secure. I would recommend this storage facility to anyone with self storage needs.
