Meet Your Local Storage Facility: A-1 Self Storage in Lake Forest, California
Are you in need of more space?
A-1 Self Storage in Lake Forest, California was built in 2007 and features 865 units spread across two stories. Crystal, the professional self storage manager at this location, makes sure that the facility is clean, safe, and a place that people will want to come back to every time they need self storage. The neighborhood surrounding the facility is mostly residential, but there are some retail stores scattered throughout the area.
“This is a pretty nice and calm neighborhood. There are some shops and restaurants in the area, including Starbucks, and this great lunch place called Empanada Man Pizzeria,” Crystal said.
The smallest self storage unit that the facility offers is 4’ x 5’ and the largest is 10’ x 30’. Since the facility has two floors, there are three hospital-sized elevators to help get you and your items where you need to go! There are two located in the center building along each side and then one in the B building right in the middle.
“You can ride with your items on our elevators, and they are very large. I once saw a guy fit a king bed set inside of one without a problem!” Crystal said.
Crystal noted that the facility has units with drive-up access as well, which some tenants prefer due to the convenience. Self storage units with drive-up access have a roll-up door that is located on an outside wall, so tenants can pull their vehicle right up to the unit when packing and unpacking.
“We start our drive-up units at 10’ x 15’ and then they go to 10’ x 18’, 10’ x 20’, 10’ x 25’, and then 10’ x 30’,” Crystal said. “Our commercial clients really appreciate the drive-up units, and we also have tenants who store their cars in the units, so having a drive-up unit is a must.”
You may have to wait your turn for one of these sought-after drive-up units. But, one thing that all customers at A-1 Self Storage in Lake Forest, CA can take advantage of is the top-notch security.
“We have 24-hour surveillance cameras and everyone also gets an individual gate code, so everytime the unit is opened by punching in the gate code we can see whoever is on the premises. The gate code also arms and disarms the alarms on the individual units,” Crystal said. “Every morning I print off a report that shows who has been in and out of the facility and read it while I do a walkthrough.”
While the tight security here makes it hard for unwanted visitors to access storage units, customers have great access hours from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., 7-days a week. Crystal and the other self storage professionals at A-1 Self Storage in Lake Forest, CA are available during office hours, Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
“Our tenants are also very aware, too. I recently had a situation where I received four phone calls about an incident. We resolved the issue right away, but it’s really great how they look out for one another. I was very pleased to receive a phone call, it shows they care about keeping their community a safe place,” Crystal said.
